Backcountry Equipment

On most of our trips backcountry safety equipment (beacon, probe, shovel) and a backpack that can carry skis/boards is required. If you've got your own and can travel with it, please do; otherwise we have all of the necessary equipment to keep you safe and mobile in the backcountry. Please note on backcountry (hiking accessed) trips, touring equipment (snowshoes + poles or skins + touring bindings depending on which team you play for) is also needed.

Headed into the backcountry on your own? Remember that as soon as you leave the designated ski runs there is no patrol and no avalanche control (areas accessed via Niseko's gate system included) and you should be prepared for self rescue at any time. If you don't have this equipment, we offer the above rental equipment to at the same rates to anyone interested even if you are not booked for a backcountry trip.
